    Browser Odyssey

Am I alone in my browser indecision? From a dedicated Chrome user (a return: unlikely), my journey has been extensive. Brave offered an aggressive approach to blocking cookies and ads, leading to its own set of issues. Firefox seemed slow, especially on Google’s turf like YouTube, nudging me back to Brave, then to Vivaldi β€” appealing yet painfully slow. Now, I’m exploring a Firefox fork, Floorp. Let’s see how this ride goes.

A humorous novel follows a middle manager who vanishes by covertly residing in the office storeroom. He survives by pilfering lunch boxes from the office fridge and sipping from the vending machine nightly.

Had some trouble creating my NIP05 name for Nostr, but then I discovered this helpful website which sorted everything out. It seems to work great! You can now find me on Nostr at iris.to/npub1cl45g9sauwuvma6fc4w8k0cqzzqkvza80l6sqtxgxtntw7xpmzkq88ul9v.

I’ve been feeling too drained to post lately but am slowly regaining my strength.

Today, I began a thorough digital cleanup, transferring many bookmarks from my browser toolbar (synced to my Brave account) to my self-hosted Linkding.

Lets max out this winter. Rainy as hell, but it works

I am currently listening to this and enjoying it

Just had a sip of NΓ€rke Stormaktsporter’s stout, and it’s dangerously good. A rich blend that truly owns its taste.

The daughter wanted to redecorate her room. Said and done, we went to IKEA. After two hours of sweaty assembly of the bed, it was finished.

    Icy Steps and Artful Stops

Today’s run was a true test of endurance. I conquered approximately 5,000 steps on a staircase, completing 11 loops in around 2 hours. The initial 6-7 loops felt smooth, but the remaining ones were incredibly challenging. My Salomon Spikecross shoes were essential, providing much-needed grip on the icy steps. Despite the difficulties, I persevered and even managed to capture some photos of the art at Konst pΓ₯ hΓΆg.

I recently went on a skiing trip to SΓ€fsen with my family and this time, I remembered to bring my GoPro. The memories captured on video are just better than photos.

For my daughter, it was her third time skiing, and she did amazingly well!

Just watched this movie with my daughter. It gets three out of five chocolate bars from us!

If you don’t have kids or won’t be watching it with a kid, then I’d rate it as 🍫🍫😐😐😐.

How Old-School IRC connections bring unexpected delights

This is really cool. An acquaintance. Well, acquaintance might be stretching it – we’ve been chatting on IRC for many, many years. You know IRC? Yes, that’s how old-school I am, but this connection goes far beyond that. Today, a package arrived from an IRC buddy. I tore it open as soon as I got home. And luckily for me, there was some authentic Swedish tacos ready to be heated up.

    Resetting my email game

s part of my ongoing quest to find the best email service, I recently encountered a significant milestone. Just yesterday, I reached the “soft limit” on my Migadu email account. This event prompted me to reevaluate my options and explore new alternatives. After some research, I decided to take the plunge with MXroute’s enticing lifetime promo offer. I must say, the transition has been impressively smooth. The onboarding process was straightforward, and so far, the service has been operating flawlessly.

    Back to Basics with Fitnotes

OK, I’ve probably tried every gym workout app there is. But now, I’ve gone full circle and I’m back to Fitnotes. This time, I’m here to stay. Why? Because this app is by far the best. Its simplicity just wins overall. No more jumping from one app to another – Fitnotes has everything I need.
